Greeley Museums, History & Education
Greeley is rich in history. Its past is filled with colorful characters you’ll want to get to know, and stories of Colorado’s high plains you’ll want to explore. We’ve got a snake story that will rattle you, and tales about a Hispanic baseball team’s lasting legacy. Greeley and Weld County heritage spans many cultures to make up the community we are today.
Dig into history at the Greeley History Museum and Centennial Village Museum, step into a small scale world at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum, and set aside time to visit the LINC Library Innovation Center, an incredible 62,000-square-foot wonderland. Then check out the Poudre Learning Center, a 65-acre outdoor classroom where learning is all about curiosity and discovery. And speaking of learning, the University of Northern Colorado has grown up with Greeley since 1889, and together with Aims Community College makes this town its hometown.
Greeley’s got it all – a past and a present with so many paths and places to explore!
