Colorado Farm Show – January 

One of the nation's largest – and oldest – farm shows takes place in Weld County. The annual three-day event features almost 350 ag-related exhibits and draws more than 30,000 visitors from throughout the region interested in learning about ag products, innovation, services and machinery.   

Did you know? Weld County is the fourth largest agriculture-producing county in the United States. 

 

Freezy Daze – January/February 

Start the new year with a flurry of winter games, crafts, food trucks and frosty festivities that prove cold weather is no excuse to stay inside. This downtown event will warm your heart with its community vibe and family-friendly fun.  

Lots to Do: Besides special deals from local businesses, previous Freezy Daze activities have included an artisan market, ice sculpting, wood carving, a Lego train and bingo.  

 

Blarney on the Block – March  

Get your green on at this annual St. Patrick's Day celebration! Enjoy Irish music, dancing, and a community parade (deck out your bikes, wagons and strollers!). 

Get it to Go: As a "Go-Cup" event, visitors can enjoy adult beverages outside on the 9th Street Plaza during festivities.

Northern Colorado Home and Garden Show – March 

Feeling inspired to spruce up your space? The Northern Colorado Home and Garden Show at Island Grove Regional Park has been sparking ideas for Colorado homeowners and gardeners for more than 40 years. The three-day show features more than 150 vendors, with giveaways, prizes, artisan vendors and handmade crafts.  

A History of Gathering: Originally a site where the Ute and Arapaho tribes camped, Island Grove Park borders the Poudre River. Families visit its splash park, enjoy spacious lawns and have access to the park's more than 600 events annually. 

 

University of Northern Colorado Jazz Festival – April 

Love jazz?  Mark your calendars for April! UNC's Jazz Fest is one of the biggest events of its kind in the country. It features internationally known artists and award-winning music educators. More than 150 college, high school, and middle school jazz bands, combos, and vocal groups from across the U.S. participate each year.  

Jazz All Day: More than 4,000 participants enjoy main stage concerts, after-hours sessions, non-competitive daytime performances and educational workshops.

Cinco de Mayo – May 

Celebrate culture, music and mouthwatering food at Greeley's Cinco de Mayo Festival. Enjoy live music, dance performances, local craft and food vendors, Go-Cup drink specials and a car show, all in Downtown Greeley. 

Show Off Your Wheels: Besides a host of car show categories (from Best Muscle Car to Best Lowrider) watch for Best Motorcycle and Best Lowrider Bike.

Greeley Blues Jam – June  

Soak up two days of world-class blues music at Greeley's Island Grove Regional Park. Bring your friends and family, grab your lawn chairs and get ready to jam. You'll find fantastic food and drinks, merchandise vendors, lots of free parking and camping and RV sites just outside the arena.

Poudre River Trailathon – June 

This three-hour free event encourages outdoor trail activities, such as archery, walking, running, hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, art, exploring and more. Learn about trail etiquette and safety and build and paint birdhouses.  

Lots to Learn: Check out exhibits, educational programs and the AIMS Community College UAS (Drone) program.

Greeley Stampede – June/July 

It's been a Colorado tradition for more than 100 years! The Greeley Stampede is a 12-day celebration of rodeo thrills, star-studded concerts, western heritage and patriotic pride. PRCA ProRodeo events are in the spotlight, but there's so much more – from concerts and the iconic 4th of July parade to the vibrant carnival rides and mouthwatering food vendors. More than 250,000 attendees come to Greeley each year for an unforgettable summer tradition that captures the frontier spirit.

Friday Fests – June through September 

Sweet, sweet summertime is the perfect time to catch up with family and friends downtown for food, drinks and free summer concerts. Greeley's Friday Fests feature go-cups in the plaza so you can sip and stroll and soak up summer – and start your weekends off right.

Touch a Truck / Classic Car Show – July 

Little kids – and big kids – love Greeley's Touch a Truck and the Classic Car Show. See firetrucks up close, call up some memories of a time when chrome and fins were all the rage, and marvel at restored and revved-up classics. Enjoy local food and business vendors. 

Hero Alert: Along with an up-close look at rescue vehicles, you'll have a chance to meet some real-life heroes and talk with Greeley first responders.

Greeley Arts Picnic – July 

Every summer Greeley's historic Lincoln Park is home to a celebration of the arts with two days of color, community, creativity and crafts. This northern Colorado favorite features 150-plus artists and crafters booths, food trucks, kid's activities, a beer tent and two stages with 14 total performances.

Weld County Fair – July/August 

For more than 100 years, Weld County has celebrated its agricultural roots with livestock shows, rodeos and carnival rides at the Weld County Fair. As many as 1,500 exhibitors participate in the fair daily, and the fair's Junior Livestock Sale brings in nearly $2 million annually. Admission is free.  

Don't Miss: 60 Vendors, plus fair food – including the free pancake feed and free community barbecue! 

 

High Plains Chautauqua – August 

Step back in time at High Plains Chautauqua, where actors bring historical figures to life with storytelling – part history lesson, part theater magic. Located on Aims Community College's campus, this beloved annual living-history festival draws an audience of up to 7,000 people from Colorado and beyond.  

Annual Themes: Check the website for information about the "notables" who'll be onstage. For 2025, the theme is "America in the 20th Century," featuring Charlie Chaplin, Walt Disney, Thurgood Marshall and others from America's past.

Monster Day – August 

Calling all monsters (and monster fans)! Monster Day celebrates all things creepy and creative, with a costume contest, parades, food vendors, kids' activities, face painting and monster makeup. It's a monstrous good time! 

Did You Know? Greeley's own famous monster makers, Distortions Unlimited, will have a slew of their monstrous creations on display. Some of their most recognizable creations have appeared in movies (Alien 3 and Batman) and on music sets (Alice Cooper's Brutal Planet tour).

Oktobrewfest – September 

Grab your lederhosen and don your dirndl for this annual Deutschland delight. Every fall, downtown Greeley celebrates with German-inspired food, craft beers, games and entertainment.  

Did You Know? Greeley was home to many Germans from Russia who settled here in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Fiesta in the Plaza – September 

Co-sponsored by Mexican American History Project Greeley (MAHPG) and the Greeley Museums, this free event includes Mariachi bands and Mexican dancers, piñatas, crafts, food and drinks, and historical demonstrations.  

The Tradition of Strolling: In Mexico, the traditional purpose of strolling the plaza was for young women and men to meet each other.  Men would go in one direction and the women, with their chaperones, would stroll in the opposite direction.

Greeley Multicultural Festival - October 

Experience the blend of cultures in Greeley with all of your senses - from tasty snacks, to community organizations and vendors, and performance groups of various music and dance styles. 

Fill out your event passport - Attendees are provided with a souvenir passport to commemorate each of the booths and performances they experience.

Festival of Trees – November/December 

Kicking off the Friday after Thanksgiving, the lobby of the Union Colony Civic Center fills with holiday magic during the Festival of Trees. Beautifully decorated trees and whimsical displays raise money for local nonprofits and set the stage for the season. Check out the full slate of holiday events—from Whoville Holiday to Whiskey Wonderland! 

Add a little art: While you're there, stop by The Tointon Gallery (adjacent to the lobby). They bring local and national artists' exhibitions throughout the year.

Greeley Winterfest – December 

Spark the spirit of the season when downtown Greeley transforms into a snowy wonderland sparkling with holiday lights, festive crafts, sweet treats, carolers and – of course – a visit from the jolly man himself, Santa.
