August 21–23, 2026

Monster Day is back for one final fright-filled celebration, and this year, you have three days to make the most of it. From a behind-the-scenes look at the monsters of Distortions Unlimited to live music, downtown fun and a cool-down at Discovery Bay, here's how to turn Monster Day into a full weekend in Greeley.

Friday: Get Into the Monster Spirit

Back to Top of List

Start your weekend with a peek behind the curtain at Distortions Unlimited's Open House from 2–5 p.m. Get an up-close look at the creative work that goes into bringing some of the world's wildest monsters and creatures to life.

Then, keep the evening going downtown with Friday Night Music from 6–10 p.m. Grab dinner, listen to live music and settle into the weekend before the main event kicks off Saturday.

Saturday: Make a Day of Monster Day

It's time for the big one.

From 12–5 p.m., downtown Greeley transforms for Monster Day, a celebration packed with monsters, costumes, entertainment and plenty of spooky fun. This year's event is especially memorable because it's the 10th and final Monster Day.

Come ready to embrace your weird side, take photos with some unforgettable creatures and soak up the atmosphere one last time. With entertainment happening throughout the afternoon, you'll have plenty to see and do.

Whether you're competing or simply dressing up for the day, don't forget to grab a few photos along the way.

Grab a Monster Burger

Keep the monster theme going with a stop at Meeker's for its special Monster Burger. Proceeds will benefit Don't Be a Monster, so you can enjoy a one-of-a-kind burger while supporting a good cause.

After a full afternoon of monsters and mayhem, grab a drink, dinner or dessert downtown and keep exploring Greeley's local food scene.

Sunday: Slow Down and Cool Off

Back to Top of List

After a busy Saturday, take Sunday at your own pace.

Start the morning with a stroll through downtown Greeley. Grab a coffee, browse local shops, check out public art or settle in for a leisurely breakfast or lunch. It's the perfect way to experience some of the local spots you may have missed while you were busy chasing monsters.

Then, head over to Discovery Bay Waterpark to wrap up the weekend. Spend the afternoon swimming, splashing and cooling off before heading home.
