If golf is your game, set your sights on Northern Colorado during Gotta Get to Greeley Weekend, September 24–28. Beyond tee times, a packed weekend awaits! Gotta Get to Greeley Weekend offers a variety of exciting events for both golfers and non-golfers. Enjoy fan-favorite festivals, special events, and delicious experiences all in one unique lineup. It’s a weekend built for fun, on and off the green.

Tee Time

For the golf-minded (and golf-curious), this weekend brings high-stakes competition to nearby LaSalle with the 2025 World Long Drive World Championships (WLD) and WLD Youth Clinic. The WLD showcases some of the world’s top goffers battling for distance across multiple divisions, while the junior tournament spotlights the next generation’s technique, skill and fierce drive.

After watching the pros, take a swing at one of Greeley’s two public courses: Boomerang Links and Highland Hills. Both courses have 18 holes with beautiful fairways, sand traps, and hills that offer great views and fun challenges. Boomerang Links also boasts a short course for those new to golf with nine holes, 50-60 yards in length. With unmatched service and an unhurried atmosphere, Greeley’s links bring a welcome change of pace, no matter your pace.

If you’d rather flip a disc than chip out of a bunker, Greeley is home to several disc golf courses, including a 14-hole course at the University of Northern Colorado where you can drive, putt and “park a shot.”

Greeley Grub

Whether you’ve wrapped up 9, 14 or all 18 holes, great food is always par for the course in Greeley. From handcrafted gourmet burgers at The Cow Saloon & Eatery to seasonally inspired dishes at Meeker’s and premier Mexican food at El Cielo, Greeley serves a fresh, authentic mix of flavors. From there, celebrate the weekend with creative cocktails and local pours. Gotta Get to Greeley Weekend is the perfect time to taste something new, or something you simply won’t find anywhere else.

And Off the Fairways…

Head downtown this weekend and you can’t help but stumble upon Oktobrewfest, Greeley’s spirited take on Germany’s iconic beer bash.  This event takes place in historic Lincoln Park and features local brews, live music, food vendors and festive fun...no passport needed! Oktobrewfest kicks off at Friday Fest on September 26 and runs all day Saturday. Oktobrewfest offers a fun break, whether you’re playing golf or just celebrating the weekend.

Play Time, Meet Playtime

Golf might have brought you to Greeley, but your kids will be the ones asking to come back. Start your weekend at the Great Aardvark Embark Hot Air Balloon Launch at Aims Community College, where vibrant balloons lift off with the sunrise. Then head to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum, where intricate displays offer fun for all ages, no imagination required.
