Two weeks. Plenty of local restaurants. A whole city to explore.
Fork Around & Find Out is Greeley’s first-ever Restaurant Week, happening Monday, October 19 through Sunday, November 1. It’s your chance to take a tasty tour of Greeley’s food and drink scene with limited-time specials from local restaurants, cafés, breweries, and more.
But why stop at the meal?
Make a day of it by pairing your Restaurant Week plans with a little shopping, a museum visit, time outdoors or some friendly competition. With two weeks to explore, you can build your own Greeley itinerary and come back for another bite.
Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Start with a Walk Around Downtown
Downtown Greeley is an easy place to spend a few hours before or after your Restaurant Week stop. Browse locally-owned shops, check out public art, pop into a gallery or grab a coffee before your next adventure.
With restaurants, shops and entertainment all within a walkable area, downtown makes it easy to turn a meal into an afternoon or evening out.
And if you're looking for a little extra entertainment, you have options.
Make It a Game Night
Bring your friends and add a little competition to your Restaurant Week plans.
At Stella's Pinball Arcade & Lounge, you can play your way through a collection of pinball machines and classic arcade games. It's an easy stop before or after dinner when you want to keep the night going.
Or head over to Greeley Hatchet House and try your hand at axe throwing. Gather a group, grab a lane and see who can rack up the most bull's-eyes.
Looking for something a little more relaxed? Catch a movie at Kress Cinema & Lounge in downtown Greeley. The independent theater combines movies, food and drinks in a historic downtown setting, making it an easy addition to a dinner-and-a-movie night.
Take a Trip Through the Rails
For something a little different, spend an hour or two at the Colorado Model Railroad Museum.
The museum features a detailed model railroad layout filled with moving trains, miniature scenery and plenty of little details to spot. Give yourself about an hour to an hour and a half to explore, then head downtown for your next stop.
The museum is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m., so keep its schedule in mind when planning your Restaurant Week adventure.
Get Outside Between Bites
Need to walk off that Restaurant Week special? Greeley has plenty of places to get outside.
Take a stroll around Glenmere Park, where mature trees, ponds and walking paths make for an easy break from the bustle of the day.
For a longer walk or bike ride, make your way to the Poudre River Trail. You can also explore Greeley's natural areas for a little more room to roam. Arroyos del Sol Natural Area offers expansive prairie and bluff landscapes on the city's west side, while Signature Bluffs connects with the Poudre River Trail.
If you don't have much time between reservations, even a quick stop at a neighborhood park can give you a chance to stretch your legs before your next meal.
Shop Local Downtown
Give yourself some time to browse before you sit down for dinner.
Downtown Greeley is home to locally-owned boutiques, gift shops, galleries and other small businesses. Pick up something for yourself, find a gift or simply wander the streets and see what catches your eye.
You can also make a stop at the LINC Library Innovation Center, where you'll find interactive spaces, creative studios and plenty to explore beyond the traditional library experience.
