Need a break in the fresh air? Greeley is home to more than 40 parks and miles of natural trails that make it easy to recharge between activities.  

Several beautiful parks are located just minutes from the University of Northern Colorado. Glenmere Park offers a peaceful lake surrounded by walking paths and mature trees. Sanborn Park provides open green space perfect for a relaxing stroll around the pond and don’t forget to check out the new picture frame. Bittersweet Park features paved trails, an outdoor basketball court, Veterans Memorial and plenty of shady spots to soak up Colorado’s beautiful summer weather.  

For a longer walk or bike ride, visit Island Grove Regional Park and connect to the scenic Poudre River Trail. The paved trail follows the Cache la Poudre River, offering a peaceful escape with river views and opportunities to spot local wildlife.  

After a full day, settle in for dinner at Cattlemen’s Steak House & Saloon. You’ll find hearty steaks, classic sides and Western hospitality celebrating Colorado’s ranching heritage. It’s the perfect place to enjoy an authentic taste of the West.
