Start in the Greeley Creative District  

The best place to start looking at art is the Greeley Creative District. This area goes from Downtown Greeley to the University of Northern Colorado campus. 

As you walk, you'll see local restaurants, shops, music venues, museums, and lots of murals and sculptures. It feels like walking through an art gallery outside. 

Walk slowly and look around. Sometimes the best art is found by surprise when you look up, turn a corner, or go down an alley. 

Don't Miss Art Alley  

Art Alley is one of the most popular places for photos in Greeley. You can find it between 8th and 9th Streets downtown. 

This alley used to be plain, but now it is filled with bright murals, colorful lights, and big artwork inspired by music. Many people come here to take family photos or pictures for social media. 

Art Alley helped start a new time for public art in Greeley. It is still one of the city’s most famous art spots. 

Follow the Sculptures  

When you walk between downtown and the university, look for the Uptown Trees on 8th Avenue. 

Artists made special tree sculptures to celebrate Greeley's recognition as a Tree City USA. Each tree looks different, so walking between campus and downtown is interesting and fun. You’ll also see sculptures that show farming, wildlife, music, history, and the people who've made Greeley what it is today. 
 

Murals That Tell a Story  

Public murals are now a big part of what makes Greeley special. 

The mural movement started in 2011 with Armando Silva’s famous Einstein mural. Since then, local artists, businesses, and groups have worked together to add more murals around the city. 

Today, you can find more than 50 murals all over Greeley. Each adds color and personality to the city. Many of the artists went to the University of Northern Colorado, and Greeley is proud to show off the local creative talent. 

Every year, the WeldWalls Mural Festival brings even more big murals to downtown. Artists from all over the region come to paint and share their art in Greeley.
